With a new year underway, television premieres are in full swing. The Bachelor, America’s favorite dating show, has a star who is no stranger to national television.

Nick Viall (36) is currently the Bachelor, an ABC game show, tasked with the difficult decision of picking one woman among twenty-five to marry.

Viall is a software sales executive from Wisconsin, but currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. He is the second oldest of 11 siblings and considers himself a father figure to some of his younger siblings.

Viall is most notably known for his appearances on Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette. In a third attempt to find love, Viall landed a spot on Bachelor in Paradise, where he once again found himself empty handed.

Despite Viall’s optimism, a majority of Bachelor nation fans question his potential for success and his ability to find love.

“Usually third time’s a charm, but that didn’t work out, so his fourth time isn’t going to either. For the record, I only watch the show so I know how not to date,” South Oldham High School  (SOHS) senior Ethan Leggett said.

After falling just short of an engagement with season 10 Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman,  Viall tried for a second chance at love with Kaitlyn Bristowe in season 19, Unfortunately, he was the runner-up once again.

Making another appearance on Bachelor in Paradise, Viall lost another chance at love, leaving viewers stunned.

“I think Nick’s just desperate,”  SOHS sophomore Sydney Michaud said.

As shown on previews, Viall appears to have a rough, yet exciting search for love; however, after the first few episodes, there are beginning to be front runners through the eyes of many viewers.

“I think Nick will choose Vanessa,” SOHS senior Kendall Brown said.

As Viall continues on his quest to find his forever, the world will continue to watch his love story unfold.
